Listed below is information collected about the nine starting members of a baseball team. However, when the information was collected the reporter forgot to record the postion of each player.
With a little thinking and reasoning, can you figure out what position each plays on the team:

- Joe and the third baseman lived in the same building.
- Bob, Joe, Frank, and the catcher were beaten at golf by the second baseman.
- Ed is a very close friend of the catcher.
- The center fielder is taller than the right fielder.
- The shortstop, the third baseman and Frank each like to go to the races.
- The pitcher's wife is the third baseman's sister.
- Bill's sister was engaged to the second baseman.
- Bob and Harry each won $5.00 from the pitcher at poker.
- The catcher and the third baseman are married and each have two children.
- Jim decided to get a divorce.
- All of the battery and infield, excepting Harry, Joe, and Ed are shorter than Jim.
- Bill and the outfielders liked to play gin rummy together whenever they could.
- Jack is taller than Frank. Tom is shorter than Frank. Each of them weighted more than the first baseman.
- One of the outfielders was either Tom or Ed.
- Bill, Bob, and Jack, the centerfielder, and the right fielder are bachelors. The others were married.
- Bob, Ed, and the shortstop have motorcycles.

Continue identifying all the names who did something with another person in a different positions and elimate them, until you have all that is possible.
Clean up a bit and check to see if ...
- You know a person's position that position for all the other players are marked (x) as eliminated.
- You know who plays a position you can eliminate that position for all the player nameds.
Mark who is single and married.
After identifying all the names who did something with another person in a different positions, combine that information and the information of who is single and married. That's a little harder, but put it in combination with identifying the outfielders you should make progress.
