Formal include plot, character, theme, and language

Technical include play writing, directing, acting, and design

Expressive include emotions, moods, and dynamic qualities.

Concepts

1. Verbal and nonverbal communication work together to develop characters, plot, theme, and ideas.
2. Scenery, lighting, sound effects, music enhance the theatrical experience.
3. The story is told through characters and the stage setting.
4. Performance and production are related to the quality of the theatrical experience.

   acting for the audience (speaking to them, facing as possible, movement and actions on stage, being audible and enunciate, speaking with expression, being enthusiastic, selling the story to the audience).

5. The story, acting, staging elements directly affect the way people feel about a play.
6. Sometimes a theatrical experience helps me understand life better.
7. Characters have traits that can be seen in real people.
8. A stage set's design can follow a variety of different principles and styles of design.
9. People evaluate theater productions based on their skill.
10. A person's ability to critique a theatrical production is improved with experience and a person's evaluative thinking skills.
